Confined Space Authorized Entrant Training

Based on OSHA 1910.146 & 1926 Subpart AA

Keep Your Workforce Safe and Compliant with Confined Space Training

OSHA confined space entry standards for general industry 1910.146 and their new confined spaces for construction standard 1926 Subpart AA require companies and organizations to implement a confined space entry program if their employees will enter permit-required confined spaces. A major element of a confined space program is providing confined space training for all employees involved in confined space entry work; that includes the entrant(s), attendant, and the entry supervisor. Certification of Confined Space Entrant/Attendant training must be available for inspection by employees or their authorized representatives.

Confined Space Authorized Entrant Training Workshop

Based on OSHA 1910.146 & 1926 Subpart AA, this course is designed for workers who may need to enter a ‘permit required’ confined space or monitor the safety of workers who enter those spaces. The information delivered will be customized to meet the work duties, safety equipment and company policies at your facility. It includes what a confined space is, the difference between confined spaces and “permit required” confined spaces, why and how permits are issued, hazards of confined spaces, air monitoring, lockout of potential energy or chemical release hazard into permitted space, psychological responses to confined space work, requirement for constant monitoring of entry, responsibilities of the monitor, communication with entrant, emergency procedures, rescue considerations, summoning of EMS or rescue personnel, permitting system for entry and work, ending a confined space operation, record retention.

Employees must be trained when first assigned to duties in and around permit spaces; before there is a change in assigned duties, and whenever there is a change in operations that presents a hazard; and whenever the permit-space entry procedures change. This Confined Space Training for Authorized Entrants is designed to meet all OSHA requirements for authorized employees. Upon completing this training, employers must ensure that employees have acquired the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for the safe performance of their duties.
