Request a Quick QuoteThis course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for operators of Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Powered Pallet Jacks, Order Pickers, and other material handling equipment. The course will be specific to the vehicles used in the workplace and the types of loads that will be moved.
The learner will understand design features of the equipment and how these affect stability and operator safety, the use of attachments such as fork extensions and drum clamps, how rated capacity and load center of cargo affects handling, how to assess hazards in the workplace prior to operation, equipment and driving surface inspection techniques and daily operational considerations. The learner will understand how the operation of a rear- steering vehicle poses unique hazards to pedestrians and cargo, which vehicles can be used to elevate a worker using an approved manlift platform, fueling and battery charging safety and traffic considerations. All participants will demonstrate competence in operation of each piece of equipment that that will be expected to use on the job.

After completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and .1 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for each hour of class.
